Today's Food Prices (05/12) in Indonesia: Bird's Eye Chili Up, Red Chili Down

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the Ministry of Trade's Food Staple Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Friday (5/12/2025) at 14:21 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 7 increased and 1 decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include beef hind leg, broiler chicken, broiler eggs, bulk granulated sugar, and red onion.

Meanwhile, only large red chili decreased compared to yesterday's price.

Bird's eye chili saw the highest jump of Rp1,600 (2.44%) to Rp67,200 per kg. The price of large red chili dropped the sharpest by Rp500 (0.86%) to Rp57,500 per kg.

10. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp18,200 per kg (up 0.55%)
