Latest Banten Region Food Prices: Salt and Sugar Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (8/7/2024) at 08.42 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include granulated sugar, Indian mackerel, broiler chicken, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and bulk wheat flour.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken eggs, premium rice, bulk cooking oil, skipjack tuna, and simple packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp1,030 (9.39%) to Rp12,000 per kg. Milkfish had the sharpest price drop of Rp4,750 (14.5%) to Rp28,000 per kg.

4. Broiler Chicken: Rp38,000 per kg (up 5.53%)
5. Indian Mackerel: Rp37,000 per kg (up 1.4%)
6. Curly Red Chili: Rp36,000 per kg (down 14.31%)
7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp30,000 per kg (down 10.69%)
8. Red Onion: Rp28,000 per kg (down 11.67%)
9. Milkfish: Rp28,000 per kg (down 14.5%)
10. Chicken Eggs: Rp27,000 per kg (down 2.46%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp17,500 per kg (up 1.69%)
