Bali Food Prices Friday (August 9th): Onion and Beef Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Bali today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (9/8/2024) at 09.34 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include cooking oil (curah), skipjack tuna, milkfish, shallots, and Indian mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as farmer-level corn, medium rice, pure beef, red chilies, and iodized fine salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of Indian mackerel increased the most, by Rp4,670 (13.3%) to Rp39,790 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chilies decreased the most sharply, by Rp5,050 (13.79%) to Rp31,580 per kg.
