Jakarta Food Prices Wednesday (December 4th): Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Wednesday (4/12/2024) at 10:48 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are curly red chilies, granulated sugar, simple packaged cooking oil, red chili peppers, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, milkfish, bulk cooking oil, shallots, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp3,870 (12.43%) to Rp35,000 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of Indian mackerel saw the largest decrease of Rp4,050 (10.75%) to Rp33,610 per kg.
