Latest Food Prices in East Java: Chili Prices Up, Salt Prices Down (Friday, January 26, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (26/1/2024) at 08.10 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include curly red chilies, red chili peppers, broiler chicken, dry soybean (import), and bulk wheat flour.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, garlic bulbs, medium rice, milkfish, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of livestock-level corn saw the highest increase of Rp880 (11.47%) to Rp8,550 per kg. The price of iodized fine salt saw the lowest decrease of Rp520 (5.34%) to Rp9,210 per kg.

8. Mackerel: Rp32,200 per kg (down 3.77%)
9. Shallots: Rp26,640 per kg (down 2.88%)
