Today's Food Price Update in Banten: Chili and Sugar Prices Drop (Wednesday, February 21, 2024)

The price of several food commodities in Banten today is observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (21/2/2024) at 12.03 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include milkfish, pure beef, iodized fine salt, bulk cooking oil, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, farmer-level corn, medium rice, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt experienced the highest price increase of Rp1,670 (17.27%) to Rp11,340 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red chilies decreased the least, by Rp4,240 (5.33%) to Rp75,280 per kg.
