Current Food Prices in Central Java: Cooking Oil Up, Shallots Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Friday (2/8/2024) at 11:55 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, bulk wheat flour, simple packaged cooking oil, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and farmer-level corn.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, red chili peppers, fine iodized salt, medium rice, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) saw the highest price increase of Rp180 (1.49%) to Rp12,240 per kg. The price of mackerel experienced the largest decrease, dropping Rp630 (2.02%) to Rp30,610 per kg.
