In 2023, the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector in Agam Regency recorded a value of Rp7.38 trillion. This is the highest among the 17 sectors. The sector grew by 3.1% compared to the previous year's figure of Rp6.87 trillion.
Second is the wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles sector, which grew by 4.31% to Rp5.15 trillion, followed by the manufacturing industry sector, which grew by 6.6% to Rp2.68 trillion.
Finally, rounding out the top five is the transportation and warehousing sector with a value of Rp1.75 trillion. According to BPS, this sector grew by 5.74% over the past year from the previous achievement of Rp1.54 trillion.
