Today's Food Prices in the Yogyakarta Special Region: Rice Up, Onions Down

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta, D.I. today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Friday (31/5/2024) at 09.11 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, mackerel, medium-grain rice, red chilies, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, red onions, pure beef, chicken meat, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices surged the highest, by Rp4,830 (12.65%) to Rp43,000 per kg. Meanwhile, red onion prices decreased the most, by Rp7,200 (15.74%) to Rp38,540 per kg.
