Today's Food Prices in Jambi March 06: Red Chili and Chicken Meat Prices Rise

Several food commodity prices in Jambi today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Friday (March 6, 2026) at 1:26 PM WIB, out of 16 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 5 decreased.

The commodities that experienced price increases are broiler chicken meat, shallots, chicken eggs, large red chilies, and red cayenne peppers.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as medium rice, wheat flour, bulk palm cooking oil, curly red chilies, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red cayenne pepper prices jumped the highest by Rp1,500 (2.63%) to Rp58,630 per kg. Meanwhile, curly red chili prices dropped the most by Rp440 (1.33%) to Rp32,742 per kg.

2. Red Cayenne Pepper: Rp58,630 per kg (up 2.63%)
3. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp39,303 per kg (up 0.23%)
4. Honan Garlic: Rp34,000 per kg (unchanged)
5. Large Red Chili: Rp33,071 per kg (up 0.5%)
6. Curly Red Chili: Rp32,742 per kg (down 1.33%)
7. Shallots: Rp29,939 per kg (up 0.76%)
8. Chicken Eggs: Rp29,412 per kg (up 0.15%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp19,848 per liter (unchanged)
10. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp17,439 per kg (unchanged)
