Banten Food Prices Thursday (March 27th): Red Chili Prices Up, Chili Peppers Down

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (27/3/2025) at 13.51 WIB, out of 25 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk cooking oil, frozen buffalo meat (import), granulated sugar, large red chilies, and packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken eggs, kembung fish, bulk wheat flour, tongkol fish, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The commodity with the highest price increase was curly red chilies, up by Rp6,809 (12.36%) to Rp61,909 per kg. Meanwhile, the sharpest price decrease was for red chili peppers, down Rp2,068 (2.06%) to Rp98,182 per kg.
