Banten Food Price Update Today: Chicken Price Up, Salt Price Down (Tuesday, February 13, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (13/2/2024) at 13.11 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include farmer-level corn, Indian mackerel, granulated sugar, dry soybean (import), and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chili peppers, shallots, bulk cooking oil, chicken eggs, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices surged the highest at Rp4,930 (17.94%) to Rp32,410 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of iodized fine salt decreased the most at Rp1,280 (11.52%) to Rp9,830 per kg.
