Cooking Oil Prices in Modern Markets of Central Java Province Have Fallen 2.3% in the Last Month

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of cooking oil in modern markets in Central Java Province is recorded at Rp21,250 per kg. This price is down Rp250 per kg compared to the previous day.

Compared to the price over the past month, the daily price of cooking oil in modern markets has decreased from the previous record of Rp21,750 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily price of cooking oil in modern markets in Central Java over the past three months has increased by 3.16% from the previous record of Rp20,600 per kg.

The record high for the daily price of cooking oil in modern markets in this province was previously recorded in March 2022 with an increase of 42.61%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in January 2022 with a decrease of -12.16%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in Central Java show 12 commodities decreased and 11 others increased. The basic commodities with price decreases are: Large Red Chili, Fresh Broiler Chicken, Branded Cooking Oil Package 1, Chicken Meat, Chicken Eggs, Branded Cooking Oil Package 2, Grade 1 Beef, Grade 2 Beef, Cooking Oil, Garlic, Fresh Layer Eggs, and Beef.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to the price developments over the past month in Central Java Province:

1. Rice per kg: Rp14,950 per kg (unchanged)
2. Low-Quality Rice I per kg: Rp13,050 per kg (unchanged)
3. Green Chili per kg: Rp79,700 per kg (up 11.08%)
4. Large Red Chili per kg: Rp89,100 per kg (down 3.05%)
5. Fresh Broiler Chicken per kg: Rp43,950 per kg (down 4.25%)
6. Super Quality Rice I per kg: Rp17,400 per kg (up 0.29%)
7. Medium-Sized Shallot per kg: Rp69,800 per kg (up 25.65%)
8. Branded Cooking Oil Package 1 per kg: Rp21,900 per kg (down 1.13%)
9. Low-Quality Rice II per kg: Rp13,150 per kg (unchanged)
10. Curly Red Chili per kg: Rp89,850 per kg (up 5.27%)
11. Chili per kg: Rp103,900 per kg (up 20.6%)
12. Premium Quality Sugar per kg: Rp17,550 per kg (unchanged)
13. Chicken Meat per kg: Rp39,700 per kg (down 13.51%)
14. Chicken Eggs per kg: Rp26,500 per kg (down 3.99%)
15. Branded Cooking Oil Package 2 per kg: Rp21,250 per kg (down 0.93%)
