Current Food Prices in Banten: Chili Prices Rise, Salt Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (7/12/2024) at 14.23 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, chicken eggs, shallots, red chilies, and farmer-level corn.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, medium rice, bulk wheat flour, pure beef, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp3,500 (9.75%) to Rp39,400 per kg. Iodized fine salt saw the sharpest price decrease of Rp330 (2.9%) to Rp11,050 per kg.
