Jakarta, Indonesia Food Price Update Today: Sugar Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall (Sunday, March 3, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (3/3/2024) at 12:18 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 1 commodity increased and 5 commodities decreased in price.

The only commodity that increased in price was granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), premium rice, curly red chilies, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Granulated sugar saw the highest price increase, jumping by Rp310 (1.93%) to Rp16,390 per kg. Curly red chilies saw the lowest price decrease, dropping by Rp1,430 (1.79%) to Rp78,440 per kg.
