Chicken Egg Prices at Traditional Markets, May 2024-2025

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of chicken eggs in North Sumatra's traditional markets is recorded at Rp30,100. This price is down Rp650 compared to the previous day.

Over the past month, the daily price of chicken eggs in traditional markets has decreased from Rp31,050.

Meanwhile, the daily price of chicken eggs in traditional markets in North Sumatra over the past three months has increased by 2.21% from the previous price of Rp29,450.

The highest record of daily chicken egg price increases in the province's traditional markets was previously recorded in July 2016 with a 24.42% increase, and the lowest decrease was recorded in December 2018 with a -13.96% decrease.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in North Sumatra show ten commodities decreased and 19 others increased. The basic commodities with price decreases are: Daily Red Chili in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Fresh Broiler Chicken in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Chili in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Beef in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Grade 1 Beef in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Chicken in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Chicken Eggs in Traditional Markets by Province, Super II Quality Rice, Daily Fresh Chicken Eggs in Traditional Markets by Province, and Daily Green Chili in Traditional Markets by Province.

The following are the prices of basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to the price developments over the past month in North Sumatra Province:
