Current Food Prices in Banten: Salt Up, Onions Down

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (1/5/2024) at 17.13 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 15 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are premium rice, red chilies, dry soybean (import), simple packaged cooking oil, and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, milkfish, mackerel, granulated sugar, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt experienced the highest price increase of Rp1,230 (12.55%) to Rp11,030 per kg. Mackerel experienced the lowest price decrease of Rp10,240 (27.64%) to Rp26,810 per kg.
