Jakarta Food Prices on Friday (December 20th): Chili Prices Rise, Sugar Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (20/12/2024) at 14:19 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 7 commodities increased in price and 12 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include skipjack tuna, shallots, Indian mackerel, simple packaged cooking oil, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as iodized fine salt, premium rice, pure beef, granulated sugar, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices surged the highest by Rp3,060 (6.53%) to Rp49,900 per kg. Granulated sugar prices fell the most sharply by Rp1,570 (7.94%) to Rp18,200 per kg.
