Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Prices of Onions, Salt, and Eggs Drop

The price of several food commodities in South Sumatra today is observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Wednesday (18/12/2024) at 12.47 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include curly red chilies, simple packaged cooking oil, premium rice, broiler chicken, and red chili peppers.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, broiler eggs, medium rice, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and fine iodized salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies increased the most, by Rp1,000 (2.51%) to Rp40,880 per kg. The price of medium rice decreased the most sharply, by Rp360 (2.87%) to Rp12,190 per kg.
