Latest Banten Region Food Prices: Cooking Oil Up, Chilies Down

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Thursday (24/10/2024) at 12.28 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include medium-grain rice, dry soybean (import), bulk wheat flour, simple packaged cooking oil, and SPHP rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as curly red chilies, shallots, milkfish, granulated sugar, and garlic cloves decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The commodity with the highest price increase was imported dry soybeans, rising by Rp300 (2.76%) to Rp11,150 per kg. The sharpest price decrease was for red chili peppers, falling by Rp4,620 (9.95%) to Rp41,830 per kg.
