Today's Food Prices in Bali: Chili and Onion Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in Bali today are observed to be higher compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Sunday (19/5/2024) at 14.22 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are shallots, chicken eggs, bulk wheat flour, curly red chilies, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red onions, medium rice, dry soybean (import), red chili peppers, and simple packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp10,180 (33.3%) to Rp40,750 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili peppers experienced the lowest price decrease, dropping Rp1,220 (4.32%) to Rp27,020 per kg.
