Latest Food Prices in East Java: Salt Up, Chilies Down (Saturday, March 16, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (16/3/2024) at 11:09 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 13 commodities increased in price and 7 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include milkfish, iodized fine salt, shallots, broiler chicken meat, and broiler chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, bulk wheat flour, bulk cooking oil, simple packaged cooking oil, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices surged the highest by Rp1,530 (4.62%) to Rp34,650 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level decreased the most by Rp480 (6.86%) to Rp6,520 per kg.

9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp29,730 per kg (down 4.47%)
