Latest Indonesian Food Prices: Prices of Chicken, Sugar, and Chilies Drop

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (26/7/2024) at 12:19 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are medium-grain rice, farmer-level corn, bulk wheat flour, SPHP rice, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as iodized fine salt, broiler chicken meat, packaged (non-bulk) wheat flour, pure beef, and red chili peppers decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn experienced the highest price increase of Rp90 (1.58%) to Rp5,800 per kg. Red onion prices saw the sharpest decrease of Rp360 (1.23%) to Rp28,920 per kg.

9. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp29,240 per kg (unchanged)
