Central Java Food Prices Saturday (July 13th): Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (13/7/2024) at 08.01 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged simple cooking oil, garlic cloves, red chilies, SPHP rice, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, medium rice, bulk wheat flour, mackerel fish, and dry soybean (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp8,460 (19.24%) to Rp52,440 per kg. Shallots saw the largest price decrease of Rp3,070 (11.14%) to Rp24,490 per kg.
