Today's Food Prices March 04 in Central Java: Bird's Eye Chili Up, Red Chili Down

Several food commodity prices in Central Java today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Wednesday (March 4, 2026) at 15:17 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 6 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include red bird's eye chili, premium packaged palm cooking oil, bulk palm cooking oil, curly red chili, and beef rump.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as Honan garlic, broiler chicken eggs, medium rice, large red chili, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red bird's eye chili price jumped the highest by Rp2,628 (3.33%) to Rp81,556 per kg. Meanwhile, large red chili price dropped the most by Rp479 (1.36%) to Rp34,746 per kg.

5. Large Red Chili: Rp34,746 per kg (down 1.36%)
6. Curly Red Chili: Rp33,467 per kg (up 0.04%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp32,500 per kg (down 0.02%)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp29,538 per kg (down 0.62%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp20,756 per liter (up 0.04%)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp17,914 per liter (up 0.2%)
11. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp16,975 per kg (up 0.06%)
