Current Food Prices in East Java: Prices of Salt, Cooking Oil, and Rice Increase

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (16/11/2024) at 09.12 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, medium rice, shallots, granulated sugar, and SPHP rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, milkfish, mackerel, curly red chilies, and broiler chicken decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Dry soybean (import) prices saw the highest increase, jumping Rp850 (8.63%) to Rp10,700 per kg. Mackerel prices saw the sharpest decrease, dropping Rp2,490 (7.47%) to Rp30,850 per kg.
