Indonesian Rupiah Exchange Rate Weakens to Rp 14,957 per US Dollar (Monday, July 4, 2022)

The Indonesian Rupiah exchange rate in the spot market today until 11:23 WIB (Western Indonesian Time) was traded at Rp 14,957 thousand per US dollar on Monday, July 4, 2022. This exchange rate weakened by 0.13% compared to the previous day's closing, which was traded at Rp 14,938 thousand per US dollar. The daily exchange rate movement is expected to be in the range of 14935 - 14960 per US dollar.

As shown on investing.com, the Rupiah exchange rate in the spot market has been under pressure, weakening by 0.74% in a week. Compared to 30 days earlier, the Rupiah exchange rate in the spot market has weakened by 3.3%. Over the past year, the Rupiah exchange rate in the spot market reached a high of Rp 14,94 thousand per US dollar.

For the period January-July 2022, the exchange rate of the Rupiah in the spot market has shown a weakening trend, moving 3.62% compared to the condition a month ago, which was at the level of Rp 14,435 per US dollar.

The current Rupiah exchange rate follows most regional currencies that are weakening against the US dollar.

This afternoon, according to several major currencies monitored by Bank Indonesia, the South Korean Won strengthened by 0.96 points (-0.07%) to KRW 1,297.93 per US dollar, the Japanese Yen strengthened by 0.07 points (-0.06%), the Singapore Dollar weakened (+0.09%), the Euro weakened (+0.03%), and the Chinese Yuan strengthened by 0.0037 points (-0.06%).
