South Sumatra Food Price Update Today: Chili Prices Rise, Rice Prices Fall (Sunday, April 7, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (7/4/2024) at 12:39 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, bulk wheat flour, pure beef, milkfish, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, medium rice, skipjack tuna, dry soybean (import), and simple packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices surged the highest, increasing by Rp15,680 (31.57%) to Rp65,340 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of mackerel decreased the most, dropping by Rp220 (0.67%) to Rp32,510 per kg.
