Today's Food Prices January 14 in West Java: Onion and Chili Prices Drop

The prices of several food ingredients in West Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Wednesday (14/1/2026) at 15.09 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 3 commodities increased and 5 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases were broiler chicken meat, bulk palm cooking oil, and medium rice.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as Honan garlic, large red chili, Minyakita, red bird's eye chili, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Broiler chicken meat saw the highest increase of Rp100 (0.27%) to Rp37,583 per kg. The price of red bird's eye chili, however, dropped most sharply by Rp1,300 (2.8%) to Rp45,083 per kg.
