Chili Pepper Prices in North Kalimantan Highest in the Nation (Wednesday, May 31, 2023)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded the average daily price of chili peppers (per kg) in modern markets in several provinces at Rp 76,630 per kg, data as of Wednesday, May 31, 2023. Overall, the average this week decreased compared to last week's average of Rp 78,650 per kg.

The daily price of chili peppers in modern markets in North Kalimantan was the most expensive in Indonesia, with a selling price of Rp 162,500 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of chili peppers in this province is higher. Previously, it was recorded at Rp 83,350 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in East Kalimantan, the price of chili peppers was sold at Rp 107,300 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of chili peppers in North Maluku was Rp 93,200 per kg, Bangka Belitung Islands Rp 89,700 per kg, and West Kalimantan Rp 87,450 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are 10 provinces with chili pepper sales prices below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for chili peppers are Jambi, Aceh, and North Sulawesi.
