Latest Central Java Food Prices: Chicken Prices Up, Salt Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (9/11/2024) at 16.28 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 14 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), bulk wheat flour, milkfish, skipjack tuna, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as farmer-level corn, fine iodized salt, bulk cooking oil, simple packaged cooking oil, and pure beef have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of broiler chicken experienced the highest increase, jumping by Rp730 (2.07%) to Rp35,980 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of farmer-level corn saw the steepest decrease, dropping by Rp40 (0.78%) to Rp5,070 per kg.
