Indonesia's Food Prices on Tuesday (July 2nd): Salt and Onion Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Tuesday (2/7/2024) at 08.01 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 20 commodities increased in price and 1 commodity decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, garlic bulbs, simple packaged cooking oil, milkfish, and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, only bulk cooking oil decreased in price compared to yesterday.

The commodity with the highest price increase was skipjack tuna, up by Rp3,540 (11.15%) to Rp35,300 per kg. The sharpest price decrease was for bulk cooking oil, down by Rp60 (0.38%) to Rp15,820 per liter.
