Current Food Prices in East Java: Rice and Oil Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (14/8/2024) at 09.17 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk wheat flour, iodized fine salt, premium rice, medium rice, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged cooking oil, milkfish, red chilies, shallots, and mackerel decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Dry soybean (import) experienced the highest price increase of Rp450 (4.21%) to Rp11,140 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level decreased the most sharply by Rp480 (9.09%) to Rp4,800 per kg.

6. Milkfish: Rp30,990 per kg (down 6.01%)
7. Mackerel: Rp30,510 per kg (down 8.65%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp27,810 per kg (down 8.1%)
9. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp26,000 per kg (unchanged)
10. Shallot: Rp19,830 per kg (down 0.45%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp16,410 per kg (down 0.91%)
