Indonesia's Weekly Food Prices (December 8th): Prices of Oil, Onions, and Beef Rise

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be higher compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Sunday (8/12/2024) at 12:19 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased in price and 8 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include SHP rice, bulk wheat flour, mackerel, simple packaged cooking oil, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as curly red chilies, shallots, medium rice, milkfish, and broiler chicken decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp80 (0.69%) to Rp11,660 per kg. Milkfish prices saw the sharpest decrease, dropping Rp500 (1.49%) to Rp33,020 per kg.
