Latest Food Prices in DKI Jakarta: Salt Up, Onions Down

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Thursday (22/8/2024) at 08.38 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 4 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are iodized fine salt, tongkol fish, kembung fish, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, shallots, chicken meat, red chilies, and curly red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp360 (3.09%) to Rp12,000 per kg. Shallots saw the sharpest price drop of Rp7,120 (22.17%) to Rp25,000 per kg.

2. Red Chilies: Rp60,000 per kg (down 5.02%)
3. Shallot Bulbs: Rp40,000 per kg (down 3.15%)
4. Curly Red Chilies: Rp40,000 per kg (down 12.13%)
5. Chicken Meat: Rp36,000 per kg (down 2.89%)
6. Milkfish: Rp35,000 per kg (down 12.3%)
7. Kembung Fish: Rp35,000 per kg (up 1.13%)
8. Tongkol Fish: Rp35,000 per kg (up 0.2%)
9. Chicken Eggs: Rp28,000 per kg (up 1.89%)
10. Shallots: Rp25,000 per kg (down 22.17%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp18,000 per kg (down 3.69%)
12. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp18,000 per liter (down 0.33%)
