South Sumatra Food Price Update Today: Egg Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall (Friday, January 19, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (19/1/2024) at 16.30 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include granulated sugar, bulk wheat flour, chicken eggs, iodized fine salt, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, dry soybean (import), shallots, milkfish, and red chili peppers decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of mackerel increased the most, by Rp1,220 (3.61%) to Rp35,040 per kg. The price of red chili peppers decreased the most, by Rp3,710 (7.48%) to Rp45,860 per kg.
