Nunukan Regency Residents' Expenditure on Nuts: Rp2,635.87 per Capita per Week

The average expenditure of residents in Nunukan Regency for purchasing legumes in 2023 was Rp2,635.87 per capita per week. This figure surged compared to the previous year's expenditure, which was recorded at Rp2,441.48 per capita per week.

Per capita expenditure is the cost incurred for the consumption of all household members over a month, divided by the number of household members. This expenditure can be categorized into two parts: food and non-food needs.

Expenditure for food consumption is calculated weekly, while non-food expenditure is calculated monthly and for the past 12 months. Both food and non-food consumption are then converted into average monthly expenditure. The average per capita consumption/expenditure figures presented in BPS publications are obtained by dividing the total consumption of all households (both consuming food and not) by the total population.

According to BPS (Statistics Indonesia), this increase in expenditure was driven by the monthly inflation rate (month-to-month) in this region, which reached 4.16%. Meanwhile, economic growth in 2023 was recorded at 4.16%.

The five largest expenditure items for legumes among Nunukan Regency residents, ranked from highest to lowest, are: tofu (Rp1,248.22 per capita per week), tempeh (Rp1,208.42 per capita per week), unshelled peanuts (Rp109.07 per capita per week), other beans (Rp52.11 per capita per week), and the lowest expenditure was for other legume products (Rp1.21 per capita per week).

Based on region, the highest resident expenditure for purchasing legumes was in Puncak Jaya Regency, and the lowest was in Mamberamo Raya Regency. Nunukan Regency's legume expenditure ranked 263rd. Meanwhile, the national average per capita expenditure for purchasing legumes is Rp257.5 per capita per week.
