Food Prices in Yogyakarta Special Region, Tuesday (June 11th): Salt Prices Rise, Onion Prices Fall

Food prices in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at 11:52 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 13 saw price increases and 6 saw price decreases.

Commodities that increased in price include red chili peppers, broiler chicken, iodized fine salt, simple packaged cooking oil, and dry soybean (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, garlic cloves, shallots, bulk cooking oil, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase, jumping by Rp760 (6.5%) to Rp12,450 per kg. Shallots experienced the largest price decrease, falling by Rp3,060 (7.72%) to Rp36,600 per kg.
