The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reported that Indonesia's economy, measured by Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at current prices (ADHB), reached Rp5.09 quadrillion in the third quarter of 2022.
Of this value, 56.3% was supported by the Java region. The Sumatra region contributed 22% to the economy, Kalimantan 9.42%, Sulawesi 7.11%, Papua 2.74%, and the Bali and Nusa Tenggara region 2.43%.
Sulawesi's regional gross domestic product (PDRB) recorded the highest growth in the third quarter of 2022, at 8.24% (year on year/yoy). This was followed by Maluku and Papua, which grew by 7.51% (yoy), and Maluku and Nusa Tenggara, which grew by 6.69% (yoy).
Following these were Java with PDRB growth of 5.76% (yoy), Kalimantan with 5.67% (yoy), and the Sumatra region with 4.71% (yoy).
For information, the national economy grew by 5.72% in the third quarter of 2022 compared to the third quarter of 2021 (yoy). Of the 17 main sectors, 16 business fields recorded growth, and only the health services sector experienced contraction.

* Financial & Insurance Services: 0.87% (yoy)
