The average daily price of medium-sized red onions in traditional markets across Bengkulu Province has increased by 55.25% over the past month.

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of medium-sized shallots in traditional markets in Bengkulu Province is recorded at Rp46,500. This price is up Rp1,600 compared to the previous day.

Regarding the price over the last month, the daily price of medium-sized shallots in traditional markets has increased from the previous record of Rp40,250.

Meanwhile, the daily price of medium-sized shallots in traditional markets in Bengkulu over the last three months has increased by 9.67% from the previous trading price of Rp42,400.

The record high for the daily price of medium-sized shallots in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in July 2017 with an increase of 25%, and the lowest decrease was also recorded in July 2017 with a decrease of -25.33%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in Bengkulu show nine commodities decreased and 17 others increased. The basic commodities with price decreases are: Large Red Chili (daily, traditional market, by province), Chili (daily, traditional market, by province), Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2 (daily, traditional market, by province), Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 1 (daily, traditional market, by province), Red Chili (daily, traditional market, by province), Cooking Oil (daily, traditional market, by province), Green Chili (daily, traditional market, by province), Curly Red Chili (daily, traditional market, by province), and Premium Quality Sugar (daily, traditional market, by province).
