Latest Banten Region Food Prices: What's the Price of Chili?

Prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (18/4/2025) at 14:51 WIB, out of 25 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include milkfish, Minyakita (a brand of cooking oil), red chilies, packaged wheat flour, and granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as dry soybean (import), medium rice, farmer-level corn, granulated salt, and garlic cloves decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies experienced the highest price increase, jumping Rp3,291 (5.39%) to Rp64,333 per kg. Farmer-level corn saw the steepest price drop, decreasing Rp667 (8.34%) to Rp7,333 per kg.
