Current Food Prices in Banten: How Much Does Chili Cost?

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (3/5/2024) at 14:51 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased in price and 9 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include wheat flour (bulk), chicken eggs, red chilies, granulated sugar, and mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, simple packaged cooking oil, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), premium rice, and broiler chicken decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of skipjack tuna saw the highest increase, rising by Rp2,020 (6.28%) to Rp34,210 per kg. The price of corn at the farmer level saw the lowest decrease, falling by Rp550 (6.29%) to Rp8,190 per kg.
