Today's Food Prices in the Yogyakarta Special Region: Chicken Meat and Salt Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, increased today compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Tuesday (July 9, 2024) at 13:05 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 saw price increases and 9 saw price decreases.

Commodities that saw price increases include granulated sugar, Indian mackerel, medium-grain rice, bulk wheat flour, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), garlic bulbs, farmer-level corn, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase, jumping by Rp370 (3.17%) to Rp12,060 per kg. Farmer-level corn experienced the steepest price drop, falling by Rp1,080 (21.26%) to Rp4,000 per kg.
