Central Java Food Prices Week of October 20th: Salt Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (20/10/2024) at 08.01 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 4 commodities increased and 17 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are red chilies, iodized fine salt, simple packaged cooking oil, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as mackerel, granulated sugar, pure beef, milkfish, and chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt experienced the highest price increase, jumping Rp1,420 (12.84%) to Rp12,480 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chilies decreased the most, dropping Rp2,820 (13.38%) to Rp18,250 per kg.
