Current Food Prices in Banten Region: Chili Up, Eggs Down

The price of several food commodities in Banten today is observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Monday, December 16, 2024, at 09.13 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased in price and 9 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel, red chilies, broiler chicken, iodized fine salt, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, bulk wheat flour, milkfish, shallots, and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, up by Rp5,790 (13.63%) to Rp48,270 per kg. Meanwhile, broiler chicken eggs experienced the sharpest price drop, down Rp1,950 (6.56%) to Rp27,760 per kg.

6. Broiler Chicken: Rp37,250 per kg (up 3.91%)
7. Curly Red Chilies: Rp36,990 per kg (up 4.43%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp34,340 per kg (up 4.79%)
9. Milkfish: Rp33,020 per kg (down 0.18%)
10. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp27,760 per kg (down 6.56%)
