Jakarta, DKI's Food Prices Today: Chili Prices Up, Chicken Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to be higher compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (30/7/2024) at 09.43 WIB, out of 18 commodities, 10 commodities increased in price and 8 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include granulated sugar, red chilies, Indian mackerel, pure beef, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, bulk wheat flour, skipjack tuna, garlic bulbs, and simple packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies increased the most, by Rp11,710 (29.62%) to Rp60,000 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of broiler chicken decreased the most sharply, by Rp11,550 (30.76%) to Rp26,000 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 18 food commodities in DKI Jakarta according to Bapanas on July 30, 2024, at 09.43 WIB.

1. Pure Beef: Rp140,000 per kg (up 2.5%)
2. Red Chilies: Rp90,000 per kg (up 13.35%)
3. Curly Red Chilies: Rp60,000 per kg (up 29.62%)
4. Red Onions: Rp45,000 per kg (up 23.56%)
5. Garlic Bulbs: Rp40,000 per kg (down 6.35%)
6. Indian Mackerel: Rp35,000 per kg (up 1.33%)
7. Milkfish: Rp32,000 per kg (down 21.55%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp30,000 per kg (down 13.77%)
9. Chicken Eggs: Rp28,000 per kg (down 2.47%)
10. Broiler Chicken: Rp26,000 per kg (down 30.76%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp19,000 per kg (up 2.81%)
12. Bulk Cooking Oil: Rp17,000 per liter (up 2.66%)
