Indonesia's Food Price Update Today: Sugar and Oil Prices Fall (Sunday, April 7, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Sunday (7/4/2024) at 14:38 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 9 commodities increased in price and 11 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, broiler chicken, red chilies, skipjack tuna, and red onions.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), dry soybean (import), granulated sugar, Indian mackerel, and broiler eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The commodity with the highest price increase was curly red chilies, up by Rp4,330 (9.27%) to Rp51,020 per kg. The commodity with the lowest price decrease was milkfish, down by Rp430 (1.27%) to Rp33,440 per kg.
