Central Java Food Prices Friday (11/10): Salt Up, Chilies Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Friday (11/10/2024) at 08.01 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased in price and 9 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include SHP rice, simple packaged cooking oil, granulated sugar, bulk wheat flour, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, red onions, premium rice, pure beef, and red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt experienced the highest price increase, up by Rp2,840 (25.38%) to Rp14,030 per kg. Red chilies saw the steepest price drop, down Rp4,040 (10.15%) to Rp35,750 per kg.

5. Skipjack Tuna: Rp35,500 per kg (up 16.05%)
6. Mackerel: Rp32,860 per kg (up 5.66%)
7. Broiler Chicken: Rp32,310 per kg (down 6.16%)
8. Chicken Eggs: Rp25,490 per kg (down 0.82%)
9. Red Onions: Rp24,450 per kg (down 5.12%)
10. Curly Red Chilies: Rp22,770 per kg (up 12.06%)
11. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp17,650 per liter (up 2.62%)
12. Granulated Sugar: Rp17,240 per kg (up 1.11%)
