Indonesian Rupiah Exchange Rate Weakens to Rp 15,656 per US Dollar (Tuesday, November 1, 2022)

The Indonesian Rupiah exchange rate in the spot market this morning, until 10:44 WIB (Western Indonesian Time), was traded at Rp 15,656 per US dollar on Tuesday, November 1, 2022. This exchange rate weakened by 0.44% compared to the previous day's closing, which was traded at Rp 15,588 per US dollar. The daily exchange rate movement is expected to be in the range of 15,553.5 - 15,660 per US dollar.

As shown on investing.com, the Rupiah exchange rate in the spot market has been under pressure, weakening by 0.46% in a week. Compared to 30 days prior, the Rupiah exchange rate in the spot market has weakened by 3.54%. Over the past year, the Rupiah exchange rate in the spot market reached a high of Rp 15,630 per US dollar.

For the period January-November 2022, the Rupiah exchange rate in the spot market has shown a weakening trend, moving 2.6% compared to the level a month ago, which was at Rp 15,260 per US dollar.

The current condition of the Rupiah exchange rate is contrary to most regional currencies, which are strengthening against the US dollar.

This morning, according to several major currencies monitored by Bank Indonesia, the South Korean Won strengthened by 4.06 points (-0.28%) to KRW 1,421.34 per US dollar. Following this, the Japanese Yen strengthened by 0.33 points (-0.22%), the Singapore Dollar strengthened by 0.0017 points (-0.12%), the Euro strengthened by 0.0011 points (-0.11%), and the Chinese Yuan weakened by (+0.02%).
