Wednesday's (October 30th) Food Prices in East Java: Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (30/10/2024) at 11:57 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include iodized fine salt, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), granulated sugar, red chilies, and medium-grain rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as dry soybean (import), tongkol fish, shallots, garlic bulbs, and kembung fish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp1,910 (10.56%) to Rp19,990 per kg. Kembung fish experienced the largest price drop, falling Rp1,320 (3.94%) to Rp32,160 per kg.
